— geting started
Can I use this if I’m a small studio with one recital?
Yes — the 30% commission model is specifically designed for boutique studios or anyone trying us for the first time. Zero upfront, zero risk. You only share revenue once parents start buying in.
When should I start the process for my recital?
Ideally 10 – 12 weeks before your recital date. This gives parents enough time to submit, and gives our team time to format and proof your pages without rush. That said, we’ve turned around programs for studios who came to us with 3 weeks left — reach out and let’s talk.
What studio management software do you support?
We support Jackrabbit, DanceStudio-Pro, and any system that exports a standard CSV or spreadsheet file. If your software exports data in a list format, we can work with it.
Can I start free and upgrade later?
Yes — and that’s exactly how a lot of studios begin. Start on The Wings at no cost, get your parent portal live, and let the shout-outs come in. Once you see what your studio is collecting, upgrading to The Spotlight, Marquee, or Grand Finale is simple. Most studios make the move once their first parent payments arrive and realize how much more they want us to handle.
How quickly will my portal be live after I sign up?
We typically have your branded parent portal ready within 3 – 4 business days of receiving your setup details. We’ll confirm your studio name, shout-out price points, and submission deadline before going live.
Do I need to know anything technical to use this?
Not at all. You share a link. Parents click it, fill it out, and pay. We handle everything behind it. The most technical thing you’ll do is export a spreadsheet from your class management software — and we’ll walk you through that if you need it.
— Parent submissions & the order form
What if parents don’t submit?
Your order form stays open until your cutoff date. We send automated reminder nudges to parents who viewed the portal but didn’t complete a submission — so you don’t have to chase anyone down personally.
Can parents submit for multiple dancers?
Yes. A parent with two or three dancers in the show can purchase separate shout-outs for each one through the same portal in a single session — or return and submit again anytime before the cutoff.
How do parents pay?
Through Stripe’s secure checkout — credit and debit cards are accepted. Parents never see your bank information, and you never handle payment manually. Revenue is deposited directly to your connected Stripe account.
Can I set my own shout-out prices?
Yes — completely. You choose the price for each shout-out size (text-only, quarter page, half page, whole page). We set them in your portal exactly as you specify. If you’re unsure what to charge, we’ll share what works well for studios similar to yours.
What happens after a parent submits?
They receive a confirmation email. Their photo, message, and payment are logged in your submission dashboard. You can view all submissions at any time. Once your cutoff passes, we begin formatting.
— Program delivery & print
What format are the final pages delivered in?
PNGs & print-ready PDF at your printer’s specified specs. We confirm bleed settings, resolution, and color mode before final delivery. If your printer has specific requirements, send them to us and we’ll match them.
Can I see a proof before it goes to print?
Yes — always. You receive a full proof for review and approval before we deliver the final press-ready file. One round of revisions is included in every tier.
What if I want to edit something after I see the layout?
One revision round is included in every tier. If you need to make changes after seeing the layout, just let us know what you’d like adjusted and we’ll turn it around. For studios on The Marquee or Grand Finale, your Canva template is also there for any last-minute tweaks you want to make yourself before sending to print.
Do you print the programs?
We deliver the files; you order printing. We don’t quote or manage print orders, but we format everything to standard 5.5 x 8.5 saddle-stitch booklet specs so you can upload directly to Vistaprint, PrintingForLess, your local print shop, or any vendor you prefer.
How long does formatting take after my cutoff date?
Standard turnaround is 2 weeks from your submission cutoff to first proof. Rush turnaround (5 – 7 business days) is available — contact us before signing up if you have a tight timeline and we’ll let you know if we can accommodate it.

— Pricing & plans
Can I upgrade my tier mid-season?
Yes. If you start on The Wings and decide you want formatted pages, you can upgrade to The Spotlight at any point before your cutoff date. We’ll apply the commission you’ve earned so far toward your upgrade when applicable.
What is an extra shout-out page and when do I pay for one?
The first shout-out page per show is included in your setup fee. If parent ad volume fills more than one page per show, additional pages are billed at $49 each. Pages are calculated based on your total ad slot usage — partial pages round up to the next whole page.
I have multiple shows. How does pricing work?
Your first show is billed at the full setup fee. Each additional show gets a discount on the set up fee — 40% off on The Spotlight, 50% off on The Marquee, and 60% off on The Grand Finale. Extra shout-out pages and routine overages are billed per show. Use the revenue calculator on the Pricing page to see your exact numbers.
When do I pay?
Setup fees are due at onboarding. Extra shout-out page and overage fees are invoiced after your submission cutoff, once final counts are confirmed.
Is there a refund policy?
If we haven’t begun formatting your submission data, we can issue a full refund of your setup fee. Once formatting begins, setup fees are non-refundable, but we’ll work with you to deliver something you’re happy with. Reach out directly if something goes wrong.
